CHILDREN ARE A PRECIOUS GIFT FROM GOD. But while children are a source of great joy, parenting can be a di cult and frustrating experience. After all, these gifts did not come with instructions. Or did they? The God Who gave our children has also given us instructions for raising them. In His book, the Bible, God gives us principles that are designed to help us achieve our purpose as parents.
PLEASE JOIN US starting Sunday, September 11th at 11:00 a.m. as we look at what God has to say about parenting, and discover how our children can become not only a gift, but a blessing.
September 5th is our annual Labor Day Picnic. We’ll begin eating at Noon. This year, our annual Labor Day Picnic will take place at the CBC Ministry Center.
Children’s activities this year will include a water slide, so bring towels and swim wear for your child if you would like them to participate. And don’t forget your lawn chairs!
As in previous years, CBC will provide the main dish. Please note the two items we ask each family to bring:
- Each family should bring a side dish
- Each family with last name beginning A-L should bring a 2-liter beverage; each family with last name beginning M-Z should bring a dessert.
Baptism is an important rite that Christ commanded for all His followers; it is a public commitment on the part of one who professes Christ as Savior. Please join us in celebrating this step of obedience in the lives of our brothers and sisters in Christ! Baptism will be followed by dinner in celebration of this special occasion.
If you'd like to learn more about baptism, you can request a baptism application at the Information Center or complete our Connection Form and check the box indicating that you'd like to know more about baptism.
Welcome to Ocean Commotion! Every day, our kids are challenged to stand for God in their schools, among their friends, in our culture . . . no matter what. And they’re bombarded with the lie that God’s Word isn’t true when it talks about earthly things (rocks, fossils), so it can’t be trusted to tell the truth about spiritual things.
Noah experienced the same challenges during the time of the great Flood thousands of years ago. Yet, by God’s grace, he was able to Stand for God, Obey God, Trust God, Thank God, and Fear God . . . no matter what.

This summer's trip is our Student Leadership Retreat. The goal is to provide our teens with time away from their normal routine and focused attention on growing closer as a group and individually in their walk with God.

On the four Sundays in June (5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th) during the Discovering God hour (11:00 a.m.), we’ll offer our periodic New Member’s Class. The New Member’s Class is for those who’ve recently joined.
This class is designed to give new members more in-depth information about CBC and its ministries as well as to integrate you into the life of the church. We’ll be discussing our ministries and how you can be a part of what God is doing at CBC.
On the four Sundays in June (5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th) during the Discovering God hour (11:00 a.m.), we’ll offer our periodic Newcomer’s Orientation. The Orientation is for those who’d like to know more about CBC.
This class is designed to assist those who are new to CBC as you consider whether CBC is the place for you and your family. The choice of a church is a serious matter that must be made prayerfully and be a decision based on adequate information about the church.
We have no illusions that ours is the only church; there are many that are faithfully carrying out the Lord’s work. But we do believe we have established a God-honoring church that provides a way for each member of your family to grow and serve. We hope that this class will be profitable to you as you undertake this important decision.
