Maintaining Christian Witness in a Polarized Political Age
Guest Speaker: Jonathan Leeman
Jonathan Leeman is uniquely qualified to address issues related to Christians and politics as he possesses both undergraduate and graduate degrees in political science, serves as an elder at his church in Maryland (Cheverly Baptist), teaches at a number of seminaries, and is the editorial director at 9Marks Ministries. He is the author of over a dozen books, including "How the Nations Rage: Rethinking Faith and Politics for a Divided Age" and his most recent, "Authority: How Godly Rule Protects the Vulnerable, Strengthens Communities, and Promotes Human Flourishing". He lives with his wife and four daughters in suburban Washington, DC. In this presentation, Jonathan provides biblical perspective before an election year that promises to be challenging and even volatile, but during which Christians can and must reflect Christ in our positions and dispositions.
