Our Principles:
- Truth – Scripture is the foundation of all we say and do. Our counseling center provides Bible-centered counseling which means that Scripture is at the heart of all sessions. We lean on God’s Word rather than our own wisdom.
- Community – The local church is the way we provide accountability and discipleship – Community Biblical Counseling center, a ministry of Community Bible Church, holds to CBC’s statement of faith, and is under the authority of the congregation as overseen by CBC’s pastors.
- Service – We will seek the good of others before ourselves and aim to serve the greater good in our surrounding downriver community.
- Confidentiality – We believe that counselees have the right to confidentiality with some exceptions.*
All of our biblical counselors have been trained by CCEF (Christian Counseling and Education Foundation) and hold the Formation Certificate and Essentials of Biblical Counseling Certificate.
In addition to our staff of CCEF trained counselors, we have counselors trained by Healing Hearts Ministries specializing in biblical counseling for suffering, trauma, and past wounds.
