Delivering for Deliverance

What if the most powerful force in the universe was not a political movement, a scientific breakthrough, or a military conquest, but a message? Romans 1:16-17 brings us face to face with exactly that claim. The gospel is described as the power of God for salvation, and the Greek word behind that word 'power' points us not to explosive destruction but to the very force that raised Jesus from the dead. That same resurrection power is at work in everyone who believes. We explore what it truly means to be 'saved,' discovering that salvation is not a single moment frozen in time but a sweeping, ongoing reality. We have been saved, we are being saved, and we will be saved. This layered understanding transforms how we see our daily struggles and our eternal hope. The message also confronts us honestly with a question worth sitting with: do we live in such a way that those around us notice something different and ask about the hope we carry? The gospel is not the exclusive property of the specially gifted or the outwardly bold. It belongs to all of us, and we are all called to carry it.

Chapter 2: The Gospel Produces Conviction: Why We Are Not Ashamed - 3:11 - 19:14

We are called to share the gospel without shame, recognizing both our obligation to give it and the universal human need for it.

Chapter 3: The Gospel Produces Salvation: The Power of God at Work - 19:14 - 34:27

The gospel is the very power of God that delivers us from sin and its consequences, accessible to all who believe.

Chapter 4: The Gospel Produces Approval: The Righteousness of God Revealed - 34:27 - 42:11

The gospel reveals a righteousness that comes from God himself, declared over us by faith, giving us standing before God that we could never earn on our own.
