The Gospel According to God

What does it mean that the gospel is not a human invention but a message that originates entirely from God? In our journey through the opening chapter of Romans, we are confronted with a breathtaking reality: every element of the good news about Jesus Christ was prepared, planned, and executed by God Himself long before any of us arrived on the scene. From the ancient prophets who foretold a coming Messiah, to the apostolic messengers who carried that news to the ends of the earth, to the very Scriptures we hold in our hands, God has been orchestrating the delivery of this gift with absolute certainty and purpose. Unlike a human plan that might fall apart due to weakness or unforeseen circumstances, God declared the end from the beginning, and what He purposes, He accomplishes. As we sit with this truth, we are invited to ask ourselves: do we treat the Bible with the wonder it deserves, recognizing it as the very breath of God preserved for us across centuries? The gospel is not good advice or a helpful philosophy. It is good news, announced by God, carried by His chosen messengers, and backed by His unlimited power. That changes everything about how we receive it and how we live in response to it.

Chapter 1: Introducing the Gospel: God's Message for All - 0:00 - 10:30

We are introduced to the theme of Romans and the gospel as God's own good news message, prepared entirely by Him for our benefit.

Chapter 2: God's Messengers: Prophets and Apostles - 10:30 - 22:00

The gospel was not a new invention but was promised through the Old Testament prophets and entrusted to apostles like Paul to proclaim to all nations.

Chapter 3: The Power and Authority of God's Word - 22:00 - 28:00

Scripture carries the very breath and authority of God, and we are called to receive it with awe and to make the most of what we have been given.

Chapter 4: The Son of God: Who Jesus Is and Why It Matters - 28:00 - 40:10

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the promised Messiah and Lord, whose life, death, and resurrection are the very heart of the gospel.

Chapter 5: Responding to the Gospel: Called, Loved, and Sent - 40:10 - 47:12

All who believe in Jesus are equally loved and called by God, and we are to respond with faith, obedience, and lives that reflect His glory.
